Expansion into Singapore boosts global presence and strengthens customer support
BRIGHTON, June 11th, 2015 — Brandwatch, the social intelligence technology company, today announces it has expanded its fast growing business by opening its first location in the APAC region. Building on its presence in the UK, North America and Germany, Brandwatch is creating a team in Singapore to manage demand from existing multinational clients, and respond to the significant potential in the region.
A presence in Singapore will allow Brandwatch to build relationships with marketers in APAC and provide them with the same quality of service that has driven the business’ global growth.
As its first important new hire in the region, Brandwatch has appointed Christel Quek as VP Commercial for South East Asia. Previously at Twitter, and named as one of Campaign Asia’s 20 Women to Watch, Christel will be helping the company expand its global offering to the APAC region.
“Christel is an important appointment for Brandwatch as she brings extensive experience and the skills and knowledge that will help us drive our expansion,” said Giles Palmer, Brandwatch CEO. “We’ve seen strong demand from existing and new clients and this new location will help us meet their needs and widen our global footprint. It is the right time for us to make this next big step in our plans, and broaden our reach for the benefit of our customers.”
“I am joining Brandwatch at a very exciting time,” said Quek. “The business has ambitious plans for its operations in Asia and am looking forward to working with brands and agencies in the region to deliver the advanced social intelligence that Brandwatch’s global customers already enjoy.”
